Auburn Football Review: LSU

What a difference a week makes...

10-24-26

What a difference a week makes. One week after defeating the best team in the country, Auburn was outplayed from start to finish in all aspects of the game. The Tigers were outgained by 552-271 yards, managed just 67 yards on the ground, and allowed LSU to easily score on 5 of it's first 6 possessions.

Auburn's defense improved in the 2nd half, but not by much, and the offense struggled to stay on the field. Sam Leavitt found his rhythm on the opening drive and never faltered. Auburn averaged 1.9 yards per carry. Byrum Brown once again led the team in rushing with 21 yards, though 34 of those came on a single run.

Next Saturday Auburn will travel to #7 Ole Miss. The Tigers won't have time to dwell on the loss. Auburn has already shown it can bounce back from disappointment this season. The challenge now is responding to one of its most frustrating performances of the year.
